It is a good idea to complete the tutorials in order, as techniques learned in one tutorial will be widely used in the next. Sections titled "Optional" suggest refinements that can be made to each tutorial project, and may be skipped.
Note: Your System Administrator (or the person who installed Sapphire/Web) should have run a special tutorial installation procedure that configures the tool for your HTTP server and database. These procedures are documented in the "Tutorial Setup" chapter of the Installation Guide. Before you begin this tutorial, check that the tutorial file installation has been completed, and that you know your database server name, your database username, and your database password.
